Tiny House Beach & Balance - 2.9km from sea

Romantic nights in a unique Tiny House - romance, peace and sustainability! Enjoy a relaxing stay in our self-built Tiny House near Baarzand Creek. This charming cottage in an old carpenter's barn offers comfort, a cozy stove and a sustainable touch. Perfect for couples or travelers seeking peace and quiet and a quick escape. Treat yourself to a romantic and minimalist stay at Tiny House Groede, located in beautiful Zeeuws-Vlaanderen. Our Tiny House combines charm, comfort and sustainability. Here are some of its unique features: - Sustainable & energy efficient: The cottage is heated entirely by electricity from 22 solar panels. - Comfortable amenities: A kitchen with oven, microwave function and induction cooktop, a luxurious rain shower and a pellet stove for romantic evenings. - Delicious coffee & tea: Enjoy sustainable coffee from The Coffee Boy and relaxing teas from Pukka. - Sleeping loft: A wonderful place to unwind, equipped with a luxurious Matt Sleep mattress topper and fine bedding. - Modern conveniences: Air conditioning, high-speed internet and a comfortable sitting area to relax or work. - Outdoor enjoyment: A cozy patio overlooking Baarzand Creek and a new, beautifully insulated facade with black wall cladding in 2024. You should really just agree with yourself that you will go to Zeeuws-Vlaanderen for a weekend (or longer) once a year. To hike through the beautiful countryside, enjoy delicious Burgundian food or just go into total relaxation mode. Whichever of the three you choose, book a few nights at Tiny House Groede in the hamlet of 'Kruisdijk' close to the villages of Breskens and Groede and you know you'll be fine. The cottage is inspired by the Tiny House trend where people want to live more minimalist, without too much fuss. After a long beach walk, brew yourself a nice cup of tea and warm yourself by the pellet stove. Adventurous surf photos and elements like wood and steel can be found throughout the cottage. The modern converted Ikea kitchen with oak details is probably the first thing you will notice upon entering. You can see that this cottage has been furnished with an eye for detail; just look at that luxurious rain shower with matte black elements and the wooden loft that has been completely measured out to your liking. Tiny House Beach & Balance is suitable for two people, so be sure to bring your partner, good friend or daughter! Note: Due to the steep stairs to the sleeping loft, the cottage is less suitable for people with mobility problems.

Location and surroundings

Things to do in Groede and its surroundings Whether you want to get a breath of fresh air on a cold day, take a dip in the summer months or relax with a towel on the sand: Groede has several (clean) beaches where this is possible. Take long beach walks, search for beautiful shells and fossils or enjoy a drink and a snack at one of the many beach pavilions. Groede itself is also worth a visit. The village is small but very nice! Stroll through the traditional Slijkstraatje, for example. You will step back in time to the Groede of old; old traditions are still very much alive here. Not only do you find characteristic houses here, but also a bakery, shop and old workshops. All this comes under the name Het Vlaamse Erfgoed. From the Slijkstraatje, you walk within a few minutes towards the Markt, where you will find nice places to eat and drink such as Fonteyn, De Drie Koningen and Etablissement 1880. From these hotspots, you have a view of the Grote Kerk. For shopaholics, Sluis or, just across the border, Knokke and Bruges are the place for successful shopping. For nature lovers, there is also plenty to see and do in this region. How about a visit to the bird sanctuary 't Zwin in Knokke or the nature reserve de Zwarte Polder in Nieuwvliet? Would you like to cross the border to Belgium? From Groede you can be in cities such as Bruges or Knokke within about 30 minutes' drive. Go to Bruges if you love a romantic, fairytale atmosphere and are interested in history, go to Knokke if you want to immerse yourself in a luxury Walhalla of shops and restaurants with - yet often - a price tag. Both trips are worthwhile!

The vacation home is modern and comfortably furnished. You feel very comfortable when you come in. The generous storage space in the bathroom and bedrooms is particularly positive. There is room for everything. Often you only have a small shelf in the bathroom. The kitchen is also better equipped than described. There is a toaster and even a milk frother. The location is as described. Very quiet and right next to the field. It is only a few minutes by car or bike to Westkapelle. The communication with Hello Zeeland was also very good. The staff are very friendly and you get an answer very quickly. For example, our hot water broke down. Hello Zeeland took care of it immediately and within a few hours a handyman came by and solved the problem. We would come back at any time.

House: very nice. Location not so great due to current building situation.

"De kleine Schuur" is an excellent little vacation home for a wonderful vacation in Zeeland. You can cycle to the dunes in just a few minutes and are right on the beautiful beaches. We really enjoyed our time here, sitting in the garden, barbecuing and relaxing. We really liked the well-equipped kitchen, the soft beds and the cozy living room. You can buy delicious meat, eggs, vegetables and fruit directly from the local farms. It was a super relaxing vacation in "de kleine Schuur". Many thanks also to the lovely hosts!

Everything was wonderful and as described.

The "Big Barn" is a very beautiful and well-equipped vacation home in a quiet and central location for activities. Westkapelle can be easily reached by bike for shopping and restaurant visits in about five minutes. We felt very comfortable.

(9.0)

The vacation home is very centrally located in the village and yet very quiet. The bakery and supermarket are within easy walking distance, and you can also get to the beach very quickly by bike (there is a rental shop right next door). The house is very cozy, lovingly furnished and the kitchen in particular is very well equipped. The owners live right next door and are very nice and helpful. We (family, 2 children) enjoyed our stay very much and would love to come back.

(8.0)

the only remark, the noise in the evening in the street ( motorcycle cars )and the noise with the restaurant in front of the house can disturb the people who sleep in the two rooms side street. Otherwise impeccable house, with a beautiful garden, shady terrace, well laid-out, airy and very comfortable bedding.

(9.0)

nice tiny house with all the space and conveniences.

(9.0)

The proximity to the beach is great and the beach is beautiful, unloading luggage was a bit difficult as there was a flea market going on. The flea market also blocked the entrance door. The key for the shed and the barn did not work and we had to carry the garbage can through the apartment entrance. It was dusty and many spiders in the apartment as well as animal hair on the couch.

Everything was great, would love to come back.

Delightful Zeeland weekend in lovely house

(9.0)

I can only recommend it, beautiful house, extensively equipped, service was available until 9 pm and very friendly and courteous. All in all, we were very satisfied because the house itself was really convincing, lots of kitchen utensils, nice outdoor area, two large refrigerators, kettle in the tap, comfortable beds, a few games and even tools. You simply had everything you needed for your daily needs. The distance to the beach was also ideal.

Simple, but net

(10.0)

Beautiful Tiny house on a small cottage park that (when we were there) was still partly under construction. This was well communicated so we were not inconvenienced. They are building a beautiful place with cottages and natural garden amenities. The cottage itself is everything you want: nicely made, smart closet space, new, fully equipped (floor heating, mirror heating, dishwasher, oven and more dishes than you can use with 1 family). Bedrooms are a bit cramped but it's a Tiny house so it should live up to its name. The view is phenomenal, the surroundings incredibly nice for biking, hanging out at beach club Bombaai and in summer a picking garden around the corner.

Top family weekend

(8.0)

Very nice house with good facilities in a good location. However, a bit expensive and it could have been better cleaned.

(10.0)

Super nice house with lots of space and modern and relaxed furniture and super large dining table. Lovely garden and great big kitchen which we had good use for delicious dinners. Walking distance from beach and village. There were more amenities than indicated such as bikes, dryer, milk frother. We would definitely come back again.

Very quiet pleasant environment.

Overall satisfied from our stay! Fine and cozy tinyhouse. Only downside was the shower, it was really moldy. Also the cup to rinse your mouth was still dirty from the previous guests (toothpaste). Also the glass door to the toilet makes and company and the street just see you. In addition, 1.5 toilet roll for 5 days with two people is really not enough and an extra pair of towels that were already ready would have been nice too. Communication and location was top!

(7.0)

Actually nice but it would have to be improved

(8.0)

Hello, The stylish Tiny House has a well thought-out interior and is equipped with everything you need for a short vacation. The quiet location and proximity to the beach with restaurants and a supermarket is ideal. The stove provides a pleasant warmth and rounds off the overall picture nicely. The reason for the 4 stars awarded is that we unfortunately have to deduct 1 star for the heavy mold infestation in the shower. The rest of the apartment was extremely clean, which is why we were surprised that the condition of the shower was not at all acceptable. Apart from this one shortcoming, we can definitely recommend the Tiny House! BR Niklas

It was very cozy, but only recommended for very close people because the bathroom only has a glass door ;) The furnishings and equipment were super high quality and we felt very comfortable. Check-in and communication were perfect. We would gladly stay again!

Cozy neat house. Clean and equipped with all the comforts you need. Eye for detail with welcome treat, interesting books and tips for the area. I knew in advance that it is a loft bed, but the ladder is a bit scary and unfolded it is in the way of the table. Checkout time was 11:00, and to change it to 12:00 cost more than 30 euros. I think that is a shame. Overall a nice stay.

(10.0)

Very nice and cozy place. I will definitely come back.

We had a great time in the tiny house. The fireplace was very cozy and was able to heat up the room quickly. The internet was also good enough to work remotely (even with team meetings) and the table even fit an extra screen. We had a power outage once, but the Hello Team responded very quickly and resolved it as quickly as possible. We used the time to drive to the beach, which is only a 10-minute drive away :) The pantry next door was also very convenient! Check-in and check-out was very easy and we were able to refill pallets for the fireplace and kitchen supplies like tea and oil! So definitely recommended from us :)

Fine stay for a few days

(8.0)

Nice little house, with minimalist furnishings that are perfectly adequate. The sea is easily reached by car in less than 10 minutes. You can hear the road when the window is open, but the neighbors' goats give it a rustic feeling. We felt at home.

(8.0)

small but nice!

(8.0)

We already felt at ease. The house is decoratively and tastefully decorated and despite its size was large enough for two people. We were also very pleased with the "Galetwafels" and the Zeeland Appalsap. Nice gesture! However, half of the glass door to the bathroom could be covered with a foil so you don't feel so watched in the toilet and we also missed a radio or something. That's why we only give it 4 out of 5 stars.

(10.0)

Fine stay. Super for 1 night. Everything clean and tidy. Groede is a nice village. Would definitely come back here again for a short stay!

Wonderful accommodation with an extremely cozy stove. Just keep in mind that it takes a while to warm up but then it's de-thawing, literally and figuratively. RUST

The host immediately took care of everything. We felt very comfortable.

(8.0)

Super nice stay. Absolutely recommended. Do take into account that you are not near bustling places oid. But we found that very pleasant. The Tiny Houses are super nicely built. We did find that a lot of messages were sent via airbnb, e-mail and sms. We had to send all kinds of details that are normally not necessary when you rent with airbnb. And we got more new instructions about everything every so often and had to create a "boarding pass" to check in and out. Something otherwise really unnecessary for the cottage itself. Of course well intentioned, but it was a bit too much. Anyway, the owners were easy to contact and we had a great time.

(10.0)

Stayed here for our mini-honeymoon, and it was brilliant. Super quiet, very peaceful. Easy walk to Breskens, quick ferry to Vlissingen, and super nice supermarkets nearby. Would so stay here again.

(8.0)

Tastefully decorated tiny house! We found it a bit unfortunate that the small table cannot be moved (folding table against the wall) but otherwise the cottage was everything we needed for 2 days vacation! We did beautiful walks by the sea and polders and slept at night in a great bed :-)

(8.0)

Overall, we really liked the Airbnb. Without bike or car you would be lost, but with both you are very flexible towards Breskens, Groede or with the bike ferry to the other side. The cleanliness was a bit less in some places, but it was not dirty or super annoying. According to the host's message, there was a key for the garbage can, but it wasn't there for us.
