The surrounding area offers beautiful nature, including the Zwin, a unique cross-border nature reserve. Sluis is a charming fortified town nearby, where you can shop and dine.

Beautiful place and a comfortable house. Everything is there
We had a wonderful time here with my family. Lovely cozy house, including garden and barbecue. It was just right for us and the kids.

We really enjoyed our stay. The accommodation offers everything you need, it is a short walk to the beach and there are numerous excursions nearby. We made great use of the barbecue in the garden, the kids appreciated the cupboard full of toys. The local bakery nearby has delicious pastries, so we left all our savings there🙈😀😀 Anyone interested in this accommodation should be warned. Anyone interested in this accommodation should be warned about the very steep and narrow stairs to the upstairs bedrooms, especially for smaller children and older people this can be quite awkward. In terms of cleaning, it lacked perfection to wipe the cobwebs with spiders from the corners of the rooms. All in all, we can definitely recommend this accommodation.
Nice cozy home within walking distance of beautiful nature
The six of us spent a wonderful long weekend there. The house is very cozy and all the basics are there. Nice garden, good barbecue everything is there. The beach and supermarket are within walking distance. Highly recommended is the very good fishmonger in Cadzan. Sluis and Bruges are definitely worth a visit. Everything was great including the weather. We would so book the accommodation again.

We were there with our family and our dog. The location is ideal, you walk to the beautiful beach in 5 minutes. Knokke can also be reached by car in 15 minutes. The house was exactly as in the pictures the check-in and communication was smooth. We would like to stay again
Fine location so close to the dunes and sea. The cottage was fine for a few days. A 2nd toilet was missed though or the toilet should have been separate from the bathroom. A few Min-points was that we found dirty dishes in the closet, a description of how to operate the TV and we did not know if we had to separate the garbage and where to find the glass container then on the property.
The location of the house in Zomerdorp Het Zwin is unique and highly recommended. The location was also an important reason for choosing the accommodation. Located directly behind the dunes, you walk to the beach in 15 minutes. The excursion possibilities in the area are also great, with the lovely town of Sluis and the fashionable Knokke. If you stay longer, you can also take a day trip to Bruges. We liked the cottage today. Especially the good beds and the different seats outside stand out. The garden could use some more love. The bathroom with walk-in shower was very clean. However, we were greeted by a nasty sewage smell in the hall of the house and the adjacent bathroom. We had to make do with a lot of cream spray. Fortunately, the smell did not permeate the living area. The stairs to the upper floor may not be so suitable for small children or seniors. All in all: happy to stay again! We felt very comfortable!

My family and I stayed in Retranchement for the half ironman in Knokke/Sluis and this was the perfect place to escape the hustle and bustle of the event. The area is very peaceful and there are clean walks nearby, close to the sea and nature. The cottage is also fine and practical with modern furnishings!
