While visiting, we recommend you walk through Slijkstraatje to “De Bakkerieje” to try the Groese ‘Paptaart’, which is a cake. You will also find museum Het Vlaemsche Erfgoed in this street and walk past several artisan workshops and past small stores. Just outside Groede, you can take the children to the free play park “Groede Podium. Big hunger? Have breakfast, lunch or a nice piece of cake at “De Fonteyn” or taste a local beer at “Brouwerslokaal.

From the bungalow park in Breskens you can be in Sluis in 20 minutes by car and in just under an hour by bike. In this town you will find a wide range of boutiques and restaurants. The perfect place with Belgian influences for the bourgondian. What also makes this place so unique is that you will encounter many historical features, such as the ramparts and the old city gates. Also stop by the only Dutch town hall with belfry that houses an interactive museum.

A day trip to neighboring Belgium is also possible from the parks in Breskens. We can definitely recommend the cities of Bruges and Ghent. Bruges is an authentic and touristy city with many narrow streets and bridges. Ghent, on the other hand, breathes history, but at the same time is modern and innovative.
