Take a city trip to Middelburg: at the Zeeuws Museum in the Abbey you can admire 16th-century tapestries, then settle in at Brasserie De Drvkkery in the bookshop on the Markt.

You’re staying by Arnemuiden on the Veerse Meer, on Walcheren in the municipality of Middelburg. The lake is sheltered and without tides, ideal for sailing, stand-up paddling and boating; along the edges you’ll find swimming spots and small beaches. Cycling routes run over the dykes and polder roads around the lake towards Veere and further across the island.

Great days out are close by. Historic Veere is about 8 km away and the city of Middelburg about 6 km. Head to the coast for Vrouwenpolder at around 12 km and Kamperland at around 18 km; a little further you reach Domburg at around 20 km.

Park for free right by the house. You can store your bike at the accommodation, not covered. Pets are not allowed. Check your Boarding Pass for all details about arrival, parking, charging and access.

Inside, the atmosphere is light and peaceful, with a living room that opens onto the waterside terrace via a sliding door.

The open-plan kitchen is fully equipped with, amongst other things, a coffee machine, kettle, microwave, oven, hob, crockery and cutlery, wine glasses, cookware, dishwasher, fridge and freezer. The dining table is a pleasant place to sit together, whether you’re cooking a full meal or just heating something up quickly.

There are three bedrooms, one of which is on the ground floor. The rooms are equipped with bed linen and a wardrobe, so you can easily store your belongings and settle in straight away. Thanks to its layout, this villa is also ideal for those travelling with children.

A washing machine and tumble dryer are at your disposal, handy for a longer stay or after a day by the water.

Outside, you’ll find a garden with seating areas and a waterside terrace, accessible via the sliding door from the living room. This terrace is not fully enclosed. Upstairs, there’s an additional terrace with views over Lake Veere, perfect for a quiet moment in the morning or at sunset. You share a jetty with the neighbouring property; the swimming ladder makes a refreshing dip very tempting. The location is rural and right on the water’s edge, giving the stay a peaceful atmosphere.
